Since 2014 while working as a postpartum nurse at The George Washington University Hospital, Rachel knew that helping new breastfeeding families was her passion. Rachel received her bachelor’s degree from Western Governor’s University and completed her bachelor of science in Nursing from Northern Virginia Community College. Rachel first developed her love of infants while serving several years as an assistant in a home-based daycare center.
Rachel started working in hospital as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2016 and has continued to expand her lactation expertise and professional network by attending the International Lactation Consultant Association 2017 conference in Toronto.
Rachel has a special interest in tongue and lip ties and their impact on breastfeeding. She recently attended the “TOTS: Tethered Oral Tissues Specialty Training” and is now certified as a “TOTS: Tethered Oral Tissues Specialty Trained” professional
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys watching sports with her family and hanging out with dogs Ernie and Calle.
