Rental Returns

Medela Symphony
When you are finished using your Medela Symphony breastpump, please wipe the pump, cord, and case down with a damp cloth so there is no remaining dust or debris.  Pumps returned in poor condition will incur a charge of $15 for our cleaning service.  Additionally, please include the bottle holder, the hard yellow plastic piece that looks like binoculars.  Missing bottle holders will incur a charge of $15 to your account.  Please be sure to remove all the attachments from the pump, including the caps under the lid and the tubing, as these pieces are purchased by the user and will be required for future operation of the Medela Symphony breastpump should you choose to rent again. 

Medela Classic
When you are finished using your Medela Classic breastpump, please wipe the pump, cord and case down with a damp cloth so there is no remaining dust or debris.  Pumps returned in poor condition will incur a charge of $15 for our cleaning service.  Additionally, please include the yellow and white filter plug insert that was loaned to you at the beginning of your rental period. If the yellow adapter with the white filter insert is missing or shows signs of heavy use, there will be a charge of $19 for these pieces when you return your breastpump.  Please be sure to remove all the remaining attachments from the pump, including the tubing, as these pieces are purchased by the user and will be required for future operation of the Medela Classic breastpump should you choose to rent again. 

Medela Lactina
When you are finished using your Medela Lactina breastpump, please wipe the pump, cord and case down with a damp cloth so there is no remaining dust or debris.  Pumps returned in poor condition will incur a charge of $15 for our cleaning service.

Additionally, please include the yellow piston that was loaned to you at the beginning of your rental period.  If the yellow piston is missing or shows signs of heavy use, you will be charged $15 for this piece when you return your breastpump.  Please be sure to remove all the remaining pieces from the pump, including the tubing, as these pieces are purchased by the user and will be required for future operation of the Medela Lactina breastpump should you choose to rent again.  

Medela BabyWeigh II Baby Scale
When you are finished using your Medela BabyWeigh II Baby Scale, please wipe the scale, cord and case down with a damp cloth so there is no remaining dust or debris.  Scales returned in poor condition will incur a charge of $15 for our cleaning service.

Additionally, please include the instruction manual(s) that were secured in the mesh portion of the case at the beginning of your rental period.  Missing or damaged instruction manuals will incur a $5 charge to your account.

After you are confident your rental unit is in good condition, please return your pump to:

When can I expect my credit card to be charged for the continued use of a rental unit?

After your initial rental period, our billing system will automatically alert us when 30 days has passed since your paid-through date.  At that time, your card will be charged appropriately for time that has been used on your rental unit.  If your initial rental period was only for one week, you will be charged the monthly continuation rate of $40.00 for a total of $75 for your first month.  After your monthly continuation rate has been charged, we will charge your card on file at monthly increments unless you specifically request to make other arrangements.  If you fail to alert us of any desire to purchase a long-term discounted plan during your initial weekly rental, we will be unable to credit this time towards the purchase of a long-term discounted plan.  You do not need to contact us if you would like to continue automated monthly billing.  If your initial rental period was for one month, you will be charged similarly in the upcoming months until you return your rental equipment.  If you initially bought a long-term discounted package, we will continue to charge you monthly starting after your paid-through date unless you either request another long-term discounted package or return your rental equipment.  The monthly rate you will be charged will not exceed the monthly package rate you initially purchased.  If you return your rental unit in the middle of a billing cycle, we will charge either a daily rate (dependent on the type of rental equipment you are using) or the full monthly rate, whichever is less.  If you are unclear about your current paid-through date, please refer to the latest PDF receipt that has been e-mailed to you.  If you are not receiving e-mails from Metropolitan Breastfeeding, please check your spam folder and be sure to add billing@metropolitanbreastfeeding.com to your e-mail’s “allow” list.  If you have any additional questions about our billing procedures, please contact us at 301-801-9070.
