My name is Brandi Martin and I am a Registered Nurse (RN), International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Midwifery student.I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Women Studies from Denison University, a second Bachelor's degree in nursing from Shenandoah University and currently pursuing my Masters degree in midwifery from the University of Cincinnati. Supporting mamas and babies along their birth and breastfeeding journey has always been a passion for me.  As a Registered nurse on the mother/baby postpartum unit, I truly enjoyed helping families get their breastfeeding, postpartum and newborn’s journey off to a great start. The joy I witnessed on each mothers face when I helped them achieve "the perfect latch" is what motivated and kickstarted my desire to further my education on all things breastfeeding. To me the perfect latch is the bond and connection a mother and baby feels when a comfortable and satisfying latch is achieved, whether it is through breastfeeding/chest feeding or incorporating supplementation. Although breastfeeding is not always the easiest thing in the world, it is my goal to empower mothers to believe that this journey is achievable.  I look forward to meeting your beautiful family and helping you achieve the perfect latch.

I live in Elkridge, MD and provide support to mamas and babies in the DMV area. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, reading, traveling and spending time with my husband, two year old daughter and doggie Sam.
