• Carolyn Johnson

    OTR/L

Carolyn received her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from Boston University. She has been practicing in the DMV area for over 10 years in various settings: acute care, orthopedics, home health, and pediatrics. After treating a few postpartum patients in acute care after delivery, Carolyn recognized the need for increased health services and support for new moms.

She pivoted her career to specialize in women’s health and received specialty training in prenatal wellness and postpartum recovery from the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute, along with training in maternal mental health, breastfeeding, and newborn/infant development. For mothers who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss, she is able to provide support from both a clinical and personal lens.

After four postpartum recoveries in five years, Carolyn knows the transition into ALL stages of motherhood is not easy… but very rewarding. Although OT is her passion, home is where the heart is with her husband, three little boys and two pups.
