    Dr. Logan is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP)and International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She received her BSN from Northeastern University, MSN/PNP from Catholic University, and Doctorate from Regis University. She has been practicing in pediatric primary care in the District of Columbia for over thirty years, assisting many mother/baby dyads overcome breastfeeding challenges. Dr. Logan became certified as a lactation consultant in 2003 and is committed to promoting the health and well-being of children and families by encouraging, supporting, and protecting breastfeeding practices. 


    Dr. Logan believes that all mothers have the right to breastfeed, and all infants deserve to have the best possible start in life to be healthy and to thrive. She has devoted much of her career to advocating for breastfeeding support and education and to reduce breastfeeding disparities. Dr. Logan is serving on the Board of Directors of the DC Breastfeeding Coalition and has been an active member since 2009. 


    The birth of a newborn is a magical, mystical, and wondrous experience.  This is a time of joy and happiness for parents. However, feelings of anxiety and stress are common emotions when faced with breastfeeding challenges and adjustment to parenting roles. With her experience as a CPNP and Lactation Consultant, Dr. Logan will empower mothers to overcome breastfeeding obstacles and to believe in their ability to breastfeed. She will provide individualized breastfeeding counseling, education, and support so mothers develop a deep bonding relationship with their newborn, feel confident in their breastfeeding skill, and have the positive breastfeeding experience they desire.
