Doula, IBCLC

I am a native Washingtonian by way of my other home - The Bahamas.  I attended primary schools in Montgomery County, MD and Nassau, Bahamas.  I have studied physical therapy, nursing, and completed degrees in Theater.  I have also done some graduate work in the area of psychology.  Most of my career I have been a doula.  I have worked for 27 years in many countries including Great Britain, Peru, Chile, Brazil, The Bahamas, and the United States to name some.  I consult in more than 20 countries and have been able to use my knowledge of Spanish as my second language wherever the wind takes me.  I am both a postpartum and labor doula with specialties in sleep, postpartum depression, and multiple babies.  I am an IBCLC board certified lactation counselor.  I have a heart to serve underserved populations while on their breastfeeding journeys.  I am excited to be a part of the team at Metropolitan Breastfeeding.
